CEO successor confirmed

Dr. Stephan Weng becomes new Preh CEO

Bad Neustadt a.d. Saale. Dr. Stephan Weng (52) will become the new President and CEO of the Preh GmbH Management Board on July 1, 2020. He succeeds Christoph Hummel (53), who resigned for health reasons. Until Dr. Weng joins the Preh Group, Dr. Michael Roesnick (66), who moved from the Supervisory Board to the Management Board of Preh GmbH in November 2019, will continue to hold the CEO position on an interim basis.

Dr. Stephan Weng’s most recent post was Chief Operating Officer at the globally operating automotive supplier BCS Automotive Interface Solutions, Radolfzell, a spin-off from ZF with roots in the former TRW Group. He previously held management positions at renowned suppliers such as GETRAG and Knorr-Bremse Systems for Commercial Vehicles. Dr. Weng studied engineering and industrial engineering, holds a doctorate, and has many years of experience in the Asian automotive markets, which he gained, in particular, from management positions at the Bosch Group.

The Chairman of Preh’s Supervisory Board and majority shareholder of the Joyson Group, Jeff Wang, stated: “His career makes Dr. Stephan Weng an ideal appointment for Preh. His in-depth experience in the automotive branch covers both interiors and the powertrain business, and he is also thoroughly familiar with Asian markets. With his technical know-how, sales experience and management expertise at international companies, he has precisely the right skills to make Preh competitive in the current, very challenging market environment. At the same time, I would very much like to thank Dr. Michael Roesnick once again for continuing to ensure maximum continuity during the transition period.”

In the future, the leading positions at Preh Group will be held by Dr. Stephan Weng as CEO, as well as by Rui Marques Dias (CFO), Jochen Ehrenberg (CTO) and Zhengxin “Charlie” Cai (COO).
