Preh receives General Motors "Supplier of the Year" award for the fourth consecutive year in 2008

The 17th annual award was presented during ceremonies Friday, June 5 at the GM Heritage Center in Warren, Michigan.

Preh GmbH Director of Sales and Marketing Christoph Hummel said, “Being recognized once again as one of GM’s top suppliers is proof that our commitment to excellence in the development, manufacture and supply of climate control systems has been the right strategy from the beginning.”

Bo Andersson, GM group vice president global purchasing and supply chain, noted, “GM is proud to honor our best suppliers with the Supplier of the Year award, an award that we believe is the most meaningful honor in the supplier industry. During these difficult economic times, it’s more important than ever to recognize performance in our supply base. These suppliers are the best of the best, and we want to honor them for their tremendous performance.”

The Supplier of the Year started as a global program in 1992. Each year a global team of purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics executives determines the winners. The decisions are based on supplier performance in the areas of quality, service, technology and price.
