Dr. Guntram Nöth new CFO at Preh

Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale. Dr. Guntram Nöth (49) is the new Chief Financial Officer of Preh GmbH. Effective September 1, 2023, he succeeded CFO Rui Marques Dias (66), who will retire in Germany at the end of December after 32 years with the company. Until then he will ensure a smooth handover of responsibility as a member of the Management Board. This is the second personnel decision in the course of an overall reorganization of Preh's management. Dr. Marcus Kneifel (54) had already taken over the position of the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in June. In addition, a new Chief Operating Officer (COO) is to be appointed in the near future. Up to now, CEO Charlie Cai (52) has held this position in parallel.

Dr. Guntram Nöth most recently held two management positions within the Schaeffler Group: Since 2017, Nöth has been Senior Vice President as Divisional CFO Automotive at Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG in Herzogenaurach and CFO at Schaeffler Paravan Technologie GmbH & Co. KG since January 2022. The industrial engineer gained international experience primarily at the Hella Corporate Center in China where he initially served as Head of Purchasing and later as CFO from 2012 to 2017.

The Chairman of the Preh Supervisory Board and majority shareholder of the Joyson Group, Jeff Wang, stated: "With Dr. Guntram Nöth, we have not only gained a proven financial expert, but also an executive with a high level of technical know-how and sound international experience for us. He is exactly the right man to fill the large gap that Rui Marques Dias will leave behind after more than 30 years at Preh. Given the high cost pressure in our industry and the recent major contracts we have won, the CFO and his team have a key role to play in our competitiveness. CEO Charlie Cai is successively putting in place a new leadership team with the right composition to continue driving our international growth trajectory."

At the same time, Jeff Wang announced that the departure of Rui Marques Dias would be honored separately at the end of the year.

Preh GmbH was able to report a new sales record at the end of March 2023. In 2022, Preh had succeeded in increasing sales by around 24% to EUR 1.67 billion (2021: approx. EUR 1.34 billion). In April 2023, Preh also announced the acquisition of a major order from a renowned automotive manufacturer with a volume of around EUR 1.8 billion in the area of e-mobility. This acquisition success is the largest single order in Preh's more than 100-year history.
